Minori design is a small online shop based in the UK showcasing the work of Theresia Cookson specializing in making vintage style dolls inspired by the 60's and Japanese crafts.

I have named my web site Minoridesign, because of my love for Japan. Minori means 'Harvest', my name in Japanese.

I use vintage patterns, designs inspired by Japanese magazines or my own designs to create my dolls, which are made using vintage or vintage style fabrics to get that authentic 60's / 70's look and feel.

Each item is made with lots of love and careful attention to detail. Many of the dolls are made using genuine vintage or vintage style (i.e. modern fabrics with a vintage style pattern) fabrics, notions and trims.

Please bear in mind that the items may vary from the picture as they are all individually handmade. However I do endeavour to use fabrics and materials that are as close as possible in terms of colour and pattern to the ones used for each of the featured items.

I have had my work featured in a number of magazines and newspapers in the UK, USA and China. Most recently my birds have been used to decorate wedding cakes - please take a look on my PRESS page.
